Traffic-Actuated Signal Control Radar
MCRT-100L
Waiting-vehicle detection for traffic-actuated signal control
Product overview
Radar that detects vehicles waiting at intersections. It transmits the occupancy status of a left- or right-turn area or a designated position to the traffic signal controller in real time.
Applications
Key features
- Traffic-actuated signal control — detects stopped vehicles waiting in left- and right-turn pockets
- High detection rate, including a stopped-vehicle detection algorithm
- Robust signal processing tolerant of manholes, fences and roadside clutter
Key specifications
| Range | 90 m |
| Speed | Up to 250 km/h |
| Interface | Ethernet / RS-485 |

Interactive 3D demonstration
Radar in action
Choose left-turn actuation at a T-junction or spillback detection at a busy four-way intersection. The radar reports lane occupancy or downstream congestion to the signal controller, which adjusts the signals to the traffic conditions.

Illustrative simulation · Detection coverage and vehicle data are shown for demonstration purposes.
How it works
- 01Detect
The radar continuously monitors the configured detection zone, such as a left-turn waiting lane.
- 02Determine
It determines the occupancy status: whether a vehicle is waiting in the zone.
- 03Transmit
It transmits the occupancy status to the signal controller in real time.
- 04Switch
The signal controller switches the signals according to its configured operating rules, for example giving a left-turn green only when a vehicle is waiting.
